Finished Homework

I did my homework, plus a little extra for class. I think it's coming along well. We didn't have to put our 9 patch row together, but I went ahead and finished so I could see what it would look like.
I'm so excited about it that I bought fabric to make another one (on half price). I don't know any little girls, but I just couldn't resist. I spent a long time in Jo-Ann's trying to find the "feature" fabric and the butterflies just stuck out to me (even though I wanted a neutral one). It took me quite a while to get the other coordinating pieces, but I think it goes well together! I'll be cutting it out soon. They said in class that making a second one at the same time helps the concepts to stick in your head. I'm all for that...and trying to get someone else to do it with me. Any takers??? I can send you the directions!
I've got my 4 pillowcases made for ConKerr Cancer and plan to donate those when I go in for my class on Sunday. I told Ben that I'm not going to make any more because they are kind of boring!! They were really easy though, if any one else wants to do some!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my site. Your blog is very nice too; I like your pictures! Your nine-patch looks really interesting; I can't wait to see a picture of it when it's completed.

Speaking of pictures, my poor DH had to stand outside in 26 degree weather holding my freshly completed pink and green quilt while I took pictures of it in natural light. I wasn't happy with last night's flash pictures, and it was just too gloomy to take pictures again in the house this morning. brrr It was cold!

Kama, Thanks for the kind words you left for me on by blog. I really appreciate it. I'm excited for you in your adventures into quilting. I made my first quilt for my baby boy. (I can't believe it has been nine years!) Keep quilting you are doing great!

Kama,
You are doing great on your first quilt!! I love your color choices. The bright colors are so cheery for a lil' baby's quilt. Your baby is precious! And he will have his momma's quilt 4-eva!! 8-)

It's looking good! I'm really liking the girly fabrics you picked out! You did a great job - greens are always so hard for me. I'd love to quilt along with you, but I don't think I can handle what I have going on right now! :) It's hard to keep in under control once you start quilting...especially with everyone I know having babies!

Wow! I haven't been by your site in a little while but I see you've made some changes to it! :) I love the quilting you are doing. I have a sewing machine but have yet to sew!! I find it intimidating but would love to try quilting. Is it hard?
